They Walked These Streets...and Answered the Call - Remembrance Installation at Fort York
History · Museum · Remembrance Day · Tour
About this event
Presented by They Walked These Streets, a Toronto-based community Remembrance Project, this new temporary installation highlights the people and places along Toronto’s waterfront that shaped the war effort from 1914–1918 and 1939–1945. Through historical documents, photographs, and artifacts, you are invited to honour the sacrifices of Torontonians, discover how communities united, and to explore how the city, along the waterfront of Lake Ontario, was forever transformed by war.
