Live Performances · Music
About this event
This season’s offering will be a double bill feature. Enjoy Samuel Barber’s A Hand of Bridge, a poignant miniature opera that reveals the hidden thoughts of four bridge players during a seemingly ordinary card game. As well, listen to Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, a jazz-infused one-act opera depicting a day in the life of a troubled married couple living in 1950s suburbia. Conducted by Jennifer Tung and directed by Mario Pacheco.
