About this event

Iconic Canadian Artists Saul Rubinek and Seana McKenna Perform for one night only. A must-attend night with Saul Rubinek and Seana McKenna, who will perform a dramatic reading from an original theatrical work to commemorate Kristallnacht. Referred to as "The Night of Broken Glass", Kristallnacht occurred on November 9 and 10, 1938 across Germany, Austria, and elsewhere in Europe when Nazis led gangs in the torching, vandalising, and ransacking of Jewish shops, businesses, and synagogues. This event is seen as the beginning of the Nazis' systematic attempt to annihilate Europe's Jewish population. Through vivid storytelling, each performer weaves their magic with the audience, inviting a compelling examination of the choices ordinary people make in extraordinary times. This exciting performance by Rubinek and McKenna, will be followed by a reception with the artists, and access to the Dr. Fred Weinberg and Joy Cherry Weinberg Judaica Gallery at ROM.
