About this event
Award-winning Canadian jazz vocalist Ori Dagan returns with his fifth album, Live in the Market. Recorded before an audience at Toronto’s Kensington Sound studio, the album captures Dagan’s unmistakable bass-baritone voice, inventive phrasing and joyful improvisational spirit. Backed by an all-star trio of Stu Harrison on piano, Brandi Disterheft on bass and Ben Wittman on drums , Dagan reimagines eight beloved jazz standards with warmth, wit and effortless swing. Inspired by legendary live recordings from Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington, Live in the Market presents Ori Dagan at his most spontaneous, engaging and authentic. The recording will be available for purchase on Vinyl or CD.
