Around TorontoAbout this event
Light up the night with a holiday concert! Featuring an engaging mix of Christmas music from over the centuries, in English and Spanish, along with songs for Chanukah, Kwanzaa and more. Latin ensemble Cantemos serves up songs from South America. Hye Won (Cecilia) Lee is pianist, with Nora Dunn as M.C. Opening with the 15th century English Boar’s Head Carol, the concert features music by Bach, Haydn, John Rutter and Laurie Evan Fraser. Plus, Broadway numbers, singalongs and more. The choir also celebrates the life of valued chorister Matthew Secaur who died unexpectedly in hospital this past summer at 49, by performing his rollicking Christmas Sea Shanty Memories of Summer.
