Downsview Park Community Planting

About this event

Celebrate the end of summer by increasing the biodiversity and natural beauty of Downsview Park. We’ll work together to plant a selection of native shrubs and trees, expand Toronto’s urban forest, and improve the health of our shared environment! This event is perfect for families with kids and adults who are excited to learn more about native tree and shrub species and how to plant them. What you’ll need to know: – Meet your event leaders at the Orchard Pavilion in Downsview Park. – Please arrive on time and prepared for an afternoon spent outdoors. – Dress appropriately for the weather. Long pants are encouraged. Close-toed shoes are mandatory. – All equipment will be provided including shovels, mallets, and gloves.
